Prepare your homeInsulate, caulk, and weather strip your home to prepare for winter storms.

Prepare an emergency kitInclude at least three days of supplies you can carry with you, and at least two weeks of supplies to stay at home.

Drive safelyIf you must drive in snow, keep your distance from other vehicles, and match your speed to the road and weather conditions

Staying Prepared for Snow Emergencies-

As inclement weather approaches, we want to remind everyone about important steps to take during a snow emergency to ensure the safety and functionality of our city:

No Parking on Designated Snow Routes

During a snow emergency, parking on designated snow routes is prohibited. These routes are vital for efficient snow removal, and keeping them clear helps crews work quickly and safely.

Give Snow Crews Room to Work

When you see snow removal equipment on the roads, please keep your distance and allow them the space needed to operate.

Do Not Plow Snow into Streets

If you’re clearing your driveway, sidewalk, or private parking lot, remember: it is a violation of city ordinance to plow snow into the streets. Help keep our roads safe and accessible for all.

Clear Sidewalks in Front of Your Property

Property owners are required to clear sidewalks adjacent to their homes or businesses. Failure to comply may result in a $250 fine. Your efforts make it safer for pedestrians to navigate during winter weather.
