UPDATED 4:16 p.m.

Rochester District 3A says no explosives were found after Rochester High School and vehicles on site were “thoroughly” searched. Police used K-9’s to aide in the search. “All students and staff are safe,” said a district news release.




Rochester, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – A threat was reportedly made to Rochester Schools.

The district and Sangamon County Sheriff Paula Crouch confirm the threat, made around 11:30 a.m. Thursday.

Our news partners at WAND-TV report students were evacuated to the Rochester Fire Department as a precaution, according to the school district.

Police are said to still be investigating.
