Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – Sally is a playful, athletic girl with a serious zest for life. If there’s a tennis ball involved, she’s all in! Fetch is her absolute favorite. She also loves a good game of tug-of-war and truly shines in the play yard, where she can stretch her legs and let her joyful energy loose.

This smart cookie is always one step ahead. She picks up on routines quickly and already knows “sit” and “lay down.” When playtime is ending, she might try to squeeze in a few more minutes of fun. She’s strong, athletic, and can run until she’s completely tuckered out. An adopter who enjoys staying busy and getting outside will have the perfect partner in Sally.

But don’t let her athletic side fool you — Sally has a soft, cuddly side too. Her intake notes describe her as affectionate and very loving, and she enjoys being close to her people after she’s had her playtime. She previously lived in a home with two young children (ages 1 and 5) and a 1-year-old Siamese cat, showing she has experience being part of a family environment.

Sally doesn’t have any special medical or behavioral needs — just a big heart and lots of energy to share. Sally would be a wonderful addition to a loving, active family ready for fun and affection. If you’re someone who enjoys a loyal, energetic dog who will keep you on your toes and then happily snuggle up afterward, Sally might just be your perfect match.
