Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – Our Friends of Sangamon County Animal Control Dog of the Week is a sweet and good natured young dog who came into the shelter as a stray in early April. After two months Paulie is struggling in the kennel and needs to meet a family who will love him.

Paulie is approximately one year old. He loves walks and playing in the play yard. He’s easy to walk on a leash, knows the sit command and takes treats gently. He’ll be a wonderful family pet when he finds his people and settles into a good home.

The kennels at Sangamon County Animal Control and Adoption Center are filled to capacity with dogs waiting for a second chance at a good life. They are available for adoption, foster or foster to adopt. Please come out to meet them this week during shelter hours, Monday-Friday10:30-4:15 and Saturday 9:00-1:00.
