Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – Our Friends of Sangamon County Animal Control Dog of the Week was brought to the shelter on January 5th as a stray. This pretty girl has been waiting three months to meet the people who will give her love and a home of her own.
Birdie is a one year old lab mix. She’s a nice dog who loves to be out in the play yard. She especially loves to play fetch. Birdie is a good walker on the leash and knows the sit command. She’s an active young dog who would be a great companion for walking and hiking. Are you looking for a best friend for outdoor adventures? The kennels at SCACAC are full of good dogs like Birdie that need a chance at a new life. Every foster and adoption opens kennel space for another dog in need. If you have space in your heart and home for a new family member please come meet the adoptable dogs during shelter hours Monday-Friday 10:30-4:15 and Saturday 9:00-1:00.
