Man dead after Springfield motorcycle accident

Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – Sangamon County Coroner Jim Allmon has confirmed a man killed Monday night in a collision between a motorcycle and car on Wabash Avenue.

The victim was taken to Springfield Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead just before 10:30pm.

The 58-year-old victim’s name is being withheld pending notification of relatives.

Allmon says his office and Springfield Police are continuing an investigation.
