Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – Springfield’s HSHS Medical Group has opened a new surgery clinic in the city, and has hired two surgeons to staff it.

According to a news release, HSHS says HSHS Medical Group General Surgery-Springfield is located on the 5th floor of 301 N. 8th Street.  New patients would need to get a referral from their provider before scheduling an appointment by calling 1 (844)-520-8897, while established patients can call the clinic directly at (217) 757-3100.

HSHS says Dr. Mahmoud Abd-El-Hafez “provides surgical care for a range of conditions, including both planned and emergency needs,” according to the release.  He previously worked in Overland Park, KS, and Cleveland, OH.

The other surgeon, Dr. Bradley Wilson, has more than 20 years of surgical experience, has an interest in robotic and minimally-invasive surgery, and specializes in “gallbladder surgery, hernia surgery, skin cancer treatments and upper and lower endoscopy.”

301 N. 8th Street in Springfield is on the campus of HSHS St. John’s Hospital.
