HSHS reports the top baby names of 2025 in its Central Illinois facilities

Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – HSHS St. John’s Hospital has announced the 2025 top baby names for babies born in its Central Illinois facilities.

In Springfield, the top boy name was Oliver, and the top girl name was Charlotte. Over 62-hundred babies across all of the HSHS facilities in Illinois and Wisconsin were named Oliver and Charlotte.

At HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital in Effingham, Oliver was again the top boy name with Lainey and Wrenley tied for the top girl name.

Then at HSHS St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield, the top boy name was Waylon. Kinsley and Paisley tied for the top girl name.

Across the entire HSHS system, July was the most common birth month, followed by September.
