DeWitt Co., county clerk sued by 4 employees over alleged whistleblower violations

Clinton, IL (WAND) – DeWitt County and County Clerk Kari Harris are being sued over eight counts of alleged whistleblower act violations.

According to the lawsuit, the four plaintiffs were all county employees at the time of the alleged incidents.

The complaint accuses Harris of several offenses, including misusing funds to pay bonuses, humiliating, harassing and intimidating the plaintiffs.

Additionally, the lawsuit alleged that Harris pressured them to support her reelection bid in March.

WAND News has reached out to Harris and to the county administrator, but has not heard back.
