Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – This week, Crime Stoppers and the Sangamon County Sheriff’s Office are asking for the public’s help in the disappearance of then-22-year-old Brenda Bottoms.

In June of 1987, Brenda was reported missing. She was last seen getting into a brown car that was driven by a white male on North 5th Street in Auburn, Illinois.

Investigators have recently received information that led them to believe Brenda knew the male subject who was driving the car and the persons who are responsible for her disappearance.

Crime Stoppers and the Sheriff’s Office is encouraging anyone with information on the subjects or the circumstances of Brenda’s disappearance to call Crime Stoppers at 217-788-8427, submit a tip on our website or use the P3 app.
