For simple car crashes, you’ll no longer need to wait for an Illinois State Trooper to come to the site of your accident to file a report. ISP is launching the Civilian Crash Reporting System which enables drivers to create a crash report online. The system will increase safety by allowing motorists to go to a safe location to report the crash while freeing up troopers to respond to higher priority calls. But,the crash must meet certain criteria. It must be a single vehicle accident with property damage only with no injuries. The report can be made online at the ISP website at isp.illinois.gov.
