The City of Springfield sent out a news release Monday reminding residents of some safety measures to take ahead of the possible severe weather forecast for Tuesday.

  • Stay Informed
  • Have an emergency kit ready
  • Develop a family communication plan
  • Secure outdoor items
  • Have a safe shelter

WAND-TV Chief Meteorologist Jim Kosek says he expects any severe weather activity to occur during the evening hours and the biggest threat to be wind gusts. WAND’s forecast calls for chillier weather mid-week, but things should warm back up by the weekend.
